Yan Bloom came to Israel six months ago with his wife Irena and their two-year old daughter. Yan studied Hebrew during the day at an ulpan, and worked as a security guard at night at the Dolphin discotheque. On Friday night, he had just completed a check of the parking area and had returned to the entrance to open the disco. He suffered a serious head injury as a result of the blast, with two metal balls lodging in his brain, and remained unconscious until his death on Sunday, June 3. Yan is survived by his wife and daughter, and by his parents - his father living in Israel, and his mother in the Ukraine. Yan Bloom was buried in the Yarkon cemetery in Tel-Aviv. |
